Our History

1980s

Sprintex technology has its origins in the UK. Born as Flemming Thermodynamics in Glasgow UK, specialised in twin screw compressor design, development, and manufacture.

1990s

Sprintex Supercharger Series I to III launched in the market, and were very successful in motorsports from the outset. During the late 1990s, the company transitioned its base to Perth Australia.

2003

Sprintex Series 5 range of automotive superchargers were developed, and it has achieved tremendous success both technically and commercially.

2008

Sprintex was listed on ASX (Australian Stock Exchange). ASX Code: SIX.

2011

Sprintex Clean Air (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd, a joint venture with Malaysia tier-one manufacturer Auto-V was established, as the manufacturing base for high accuracy twin screw superchargers.

2012

Sprintex USA Inc was established and operating from Auburn Hills (Detroit) Michigan USA, as the group's distribution centre.

2015

To accommodate the company's expansion into the field of clean air and clean energy products and applications, Sprintex has officially initiated a project to research electric compressors and controllers.

2021

Sprintex Energy Technology (Suzhou) Co., Ltd was established in Suzhou, China, as the R&D center and manufacturing base for high-speed electric compressors for clean energy systems, e-boost, industrial and environmental applications.

2023

The Sprintex range of eCompressor products, including fuel cell eCompressors, Industrial Blowers, and eSuperchargers, has accumulated sales of over 1,000 units.
